I just noticed that one of my wildlife stock images has made its way onto the home page of the British Professional Photographers Associates. This image has already won a prize in the wildlife section of the SWPP/BPPA monthly print competition and goes forward to the annual competition in January.

The shot’s of an elephant crossing Lake Ndutu at dawn in the southern Serengeti in Tanzania. Here’s a better look at it:

A while ago I photographed a fabulous ring for Northampton’s top jewellers Steffans. Because this image was to appear much larger than life size the shot demanded technical perfection and careful control of the light and reflection in the ring. An interesting photographic challenge!
The image is now the centrepiece of Steffans’ Christmas promotion advertising appearing in all the local glossy magazines.

For Justine’s photo shoot this week we were aiming for a stylish and fashionable look to her pictures. We used a couple of my favourite locations in Northampton. I think the results prove that even on a cold November day you can make great pictures outdoors on location.
