Claire and Toby’s Pre-Wedding Shoot

martin | Pre-wedding | Sunday, May 31st, 2009

For many of our wedding clients their pre-wedding photo shoot (sometimes called an engagement photo shoot) is the first time they’ve had professional pictures taken since school or university.  So they’ve got used to the idea that they can’t look good in pictures, mainly because they’ve never seen a good picture of themselves!

Claire and Toby started the shoot feeling that way too, but as the shoot progressed they relaxed and started to enjoy themselves :)

This shoot in Northampton started off wet and then rained on and off throughout.  We hardly ever postpone pre-wedding shoots because of the weather – after all the wedding will go ahead come rain or shine.  I love a challenge and murky weather is no hindrance to getting great pictures.  You just need to work a bit harder and use a bit more imagination ;-)

I’m pleased to say that Claire and Toby loved their pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.  Here’s a few of them:

Evonne’s bump pictures

It was great to see Evonne again last week at her home in North London.  You’ll recognise Evonne from one of Karen’s signature images from Alex and Evonne’s wedding at Woburn a couple of years ago.  Evonne was also one of our first ‘Love The Dress’ clients – some of those pictures are here.

Evonne and Alex are expecting their first baby in about a month.  Here are few photographs from Evonne’s pregnancy shoot taken in a park near her home.

Good luck Evonne!

Kay and Adam’s Pre-wedding Shoot

martin | Pre-wedding | Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

Here’s some pictures from Kay and Adam’s pre-wedding shoot.  Only a sneak preview of a few shots as they haven’t had their viewing yet :) It was another great day for the weather.  The forecasted rain stayed away and we had the cloudy-but-bright conditions that are great for photographs.  Kay and Adam were great fun to photograph and were happy to indulge some of my wackier ideas to come up with cool shots.  I’m sure I’ll post some more from this shoot after Kay and Adam have seen them.
