Asha’s bump pictures

martin | Pregnancy | Monday, May 25th, 2009

Beautiful mum-to-be Asha visited our studio near Northampton last week for her ‘bump’ photographs.  We created a varied collection of images in the studio then also took a few on location.  Asha was so thrilled with her photographs that she’s kindly agreed to let us publish them here on the blog – the first time we’ve been able to publish any of our studio-style pregnancy photographs.

We always start our portrait sessions with a conversation about the style of image that the client would like.  It is especially important with pregnancy photographs to capture the beauty of this special moment in a style that the new parents will love.

We’re looking forward to seeing Asha and her new baby in a few weeks for her newborn pictures!

Toni Creative Hair Shoot #1

martin | Commercial | Friday, May 22nd, 2009

Model: Ellie
Hair and makeup: Toni Perryman

Working to a very strict brief and governed by hair competition entry guidelines these images were created in our studio earlier this year.  Lola Williams, our picture editor, edited these images to the very highest standard and one of them is now in the hands of the competition judges.  We’re immensely proud of them and hope that the judges agree and give Toni the credit she deserves!

Salina and Joel’s Pre-wedding Shoot

martin | Pre-wedding | Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

Here are a few of my favourite images from Salina and Joel’s pre wedding shoot last week.  We’re really looking forward to their wedding in just a few weeks time.  We’ve had good fortune with the weather so far this year, and this shoot was no exception.  An hour or so after we finished the heavens opened.

Salina and Joel’s son Harry joined us on this shoot.  Karen and her mum (and dog) kept him busy for most of the shoot but we did have some time to capture a few informal family pictures – one of them’s at the end of this post.

Enjoy the pictures and feel free to leave a comment below.
