Hensmans is one of Northampton’s top hairdressing salons with a reputation for great style, quality and service.  The brief for this shoot was to take some fresh shots for their new web site that reflect the super environment experienced by customers of the salon.  Also in the brief was some new portraits of Gemma Hensman.  Here’s some of the results:

Last Days of Summer

martin | Commercial | Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Karen and I were official photographers at The Last Days of Summer festival at Stowe, nr Buckingham. With a great line-up the festival was a huge success and hopefully this will be the first year of many. Thanks to Lester and Paul at Toast Events for helping to make our lives easier. We’ll be editing the photos over the next few days and you will be able to see them on the official event web site. In the meantime I’ve had a quick look through and here are some of the images that I picked out. My favourites are the two of Richard Ashcroft – one mine, one Karen’s.

Update: This is how the client used our images on their web site.

Best of British

martin | Commercial | Saturday, May 31st, 2008

It was a privilege to photograph last week’s ‘Best of British’ boxing-themed charity dinner at the Dorchester Hotel in London. Part of Ben Cohen’s testimonial year, the evening was a celebration of British boxing legends. Guests of honour were Sir Henry Cooper, Barry McGuigan, Frank Bruno and Ricky Hatton, the latter still sporting the bruises from his latest fight. Here are a few of the shots from the evening:
