Abby and Barney
When friend and client Abby asked if I’d photograph her horse Barney my first question was “will he tolerate flash?” because I knew exactly the image I wanted to create. We also needed a cloudy day which meant postponing the first date we had planned. First time I’ve postponed a shoot because it was too sunny
Barney was super-tolerant and good natured and didn’t mind the portable studio light that I used to create the first two pictures in this set. The first image is the shot I evisaged when I asked Abby the initial question. Lola worked her photoshop magic to finish the images off to perfection (and get rid of a few raindrops). The buttercups in the fields near Northampton were the icing on the cake.
