Sue and Nathan were married last Month at St Mary The Virgin Church in Higham Ferrers. Their reception was at Rushton Hall which is one of our favourite places to photograph. The day started with Karen at Rushton Hall with the girls getting ready. Meanwhile I met Nathan at the hairdresser in Northampton. That was a first for me
Sue’s hair was by Gemma Hensman who is also Karen’s hairdresser.
There was a small panic at the church when the guy’s button holes turned up late. A couple of minutes before the ceremony I was putting on Nathan and his best man’s buttonholes. That’s not unusual – but doing it with Sue due to arrive any minute was
Unfortunately St Mary’s is one of the churches that does not allow photography during the ceremony. But they do allow video. So I filmed the ceremony on my HD camera and took some stills from the video. There’s a sample below.
Back at Rushton Hall we had a great time exploring the grounds and the interior of the hall for our signature bride and groom pictures. Sue and Nathan had fireworks which was another great photo opportunity.
Our day ended with a five-minute photo shoot in the cellar bar. Added some colourful light to create the shot that ends this set.
We had a fabulous day with Sue and Nathan. We’d looked forward to their wedding for over eighteen months and it didn’t disappoint. They’ve chosen a brilliant set of pictures for their album which is going to be quite spectacular.

This is the first of my catch-up posts on the blog. Normally I try to blog about a wedding before the happy couple have been back to the studio to see their pictures. We’ve been so busy that things have slipped a bit, and Shirin and Mark saw their pictures last week. On the plus side that means I can share a lot more pictures here without spoiling their surprise
Shirin and Mark were married last month at Somerford Keynes in Gloucestershire. The church was right next door to The Manor House, Shirin’s parent’s home, which is where the marquee reception was held. Everything about the day was perfect. Super people, lovely venues and weather that couldn’t have been better. We’re thrilled with the pictures we took, and Shirin and Mark have chosen a super set for their album.
Here is a slideshow of thirty or so of my favourites. You can see the complete set of 300 or so images in our online gallery.
Please wait a moment for the slideshow to load. You’ll need javascript enabled for this to work.
Rosanna and James were married last month in church at Winterbourne, near Salisbury. Their reception was at the Rose and Crown Hotel in Salisbury. The hotel is beautifully situated on the banks of the river Avon, with Salisbury cathedral in the distance. The weather was nice enough for us to enjoy the lovely setting. The Rose and Crown is full of character with the main building dating from the 13c. Lots of exposed beams and interesting locations for photographs.
Rosanna looked simply stunning in her Ian Stuart gown and James looked pretty dapper too
They’re coming to the studio soon to choose the pictures for the album. In the meantime here is a sneak preview of a few of my favourites. As always, Karen was with the girls in the morning, I was with the guys. We photographed all day, ending with a riverside photograph of Rosanna and James with the floodlit cathedral in the background. Hope you enjoy them.
